WIKI Shannon Guess Richardson: Actress jailed for 18 years on a federal charge of possessing and producing a biological toxin
A judge sentenced Shannon Guess Richardson, 36, in federal court in Texarkana, Texas, on a federal charge of possessing and producing a biological toxin.
The 36-year-old, who had bit parts in The Vampire Diaries and movie The Blind Side, pleaded guilty to possessing and producing a biological toxin and received the maximum sentence yesterday.
Shannon Guess was also ordered to pay a fee of $367,000 (£214,000).
Richardson has had minor roles in the television series "The Walking Dead" and the movie "The Blind Side."
Shannon also is the mother of six children — including one born prematurely while she was in custody.
Before sentencing, Richardson appealed to the judge for “mercy and compassion” saying that she had already been “punished dearly” by being separated from her six children.
Shannon Guess Richardson husband has since filed for divorce.
